A wedding photographer accidentally captured the wrong groomsmen during a hotel wedding in the U.S., after unknowingly following another wedding party at the same venue. This incident was later shared by the bride’s sister on Reddit, explaining what happened and why the mix-up occurred.

According to the post in the “Wedding Shaming” forum, the bride had hired a photographer she trusted, who brought along her partner to help with the shoot. On the day of the wedding, the main photographer handled the bridal party photos, while her partner was supposed to photograph the groom and his groomsmen getting ready at the hotel.

However, the groom later told the main photographer that her partner had never shown up to photograph him and his groomsmen. It was only later that they discovered the photographer’s partner had been at the hotel but had mistakenly followed a different group of groomsmen from another wedding that was also taking place there, and ended up photographing them instead. Strangely, no one from that other wedding questioned why an unfamiliar photographer was in their room. The mistake wasn’t noticed until much later, and the bride’s family still hasn’t received an explanation for how the confusion happened or why the photographer didn’t confirm which wedding party he was shooting. The mishap ended up making for a funny story and saved the newlyweds a little money in their final wedding tab.
